WWE is reportedly planning on two major feuds for CM Punk.
CM Punk returned to WWE at WWE Survivor Series, and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins was visibly angry in response to his appearance. It’s widely believed that Rollins is working the situation, as he commented on Punk’s return at a live event on Sunday and on Monday’s episode of WWE RAW.
Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated reports that there are plans for Punk to feud with Roman Reigns. However, the former WWE Champion will first clash with Rollins, according to the report.
Barrasso also writes that WWE did not chase Punk in order to bring him back in. Instead, Punk opened the line of communication, and he agreed to what WWE asked of him.
Additionally, Barrasso cites multiple members of the WWE roster who noted that there are concerns about how Punk will “integrate” into the locker room, but he is expected to do business. AEW sources shared their belief that Punk will be on his best behavior at the beginning of his return, but they noted that his runs do not end well. However, WWE talent stated that they believe the locker room is more united than that of AEW.
