New reports provide updates on two AEW stars who have been injured for some time now.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Dante Martin of Top Flight was backstage at a recent AEW show and is nearing a return from injury. Martin was been sidelined with a serious leg injury since ROH Supercard of Honor on March 31, 2023.
The report notes that Ian Riccaboni previously said on commentary that Martin’s recovery was ahead of schedule. Dante’s brother, Darius has been active during his absence; he has been featured on ROH programming.
Update On Marq Quen
In another report, Sapp provided an update on Marq Quen, who last competed on the December 2, 2022, episode of AEW Rampage. He has been sidelined with a shoulder injury. His absence has led to Isiah Kassidy teaming up with The Hardys and Ethan Page.
Per Sapp, Quen was backstage at a recent show, and AEW is hopeful that he could return sooner than later. Sapp wrote that, even if Quen gets cleared, there is no word on whether any creative plans for him are in place.
