Tony Khan Changed Load-In For AEW All In 2024 Due To Taylor Swift

Tony Khan hopes to score good karma by letting Taylor Swift hold more shows at Wembley Stadium in 2024.

At the AEW Full Gear post-show media scrum, Tony Khan was asked about the logistical prep for AEW All In at Wembley Stadium in 2024. He then described how he was asked if they could change their load-in so Taylor Swift could do more shows, and he told them he would.

“This is going to be very different,” Tony Khan said. “Of course, you talked about he logistics. From a preparation standpoint, this is going to be a very different challenge for AEW. The load-in is a very different schedule than what we had last year. If you look at the calendar of Wembley Stadium events for August of 2024, you’ll see that scheduled ahead of us is Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift being scheduled at Wembley Stadium ahead of AEW is a big deal. I have some interesting stories about how all of this came to be and where we’re at. It’s very fun.

“So when Wembley approached us about our load-in and about these Taylor Swift shows, there was an opportunity for them to add more shows. We are going to do everything we can to abbreviate our load-in time. So basically, they came to us and said, ‘It would help us out a lot if you could load in your show faster because we’d have the opportunity to have more Taylor Swift shows. Could you guys do that?’ We said, ‘Well, it’ll be costly and very challenging, and we really would like to help you out. So yeah, I will.’

Tony Khan Hopes To Score Points With Taylor Swift Fans

Tony Khan continued by stating that he hoped doing so would score AEW points with Taylor Swift fans. He made it clear that the change will be challenging, as AEW won’t have as much time to set up. However, Khan stated that he was happy to do it, as he thought it would be good karma.

“I’m gonna do it, and I think there’s so many great Taylor Swift fans, and Wembley’s been great to us, we have a great relationship,” Tony Khan said. “It’s gonna cost more, and we’ll double our efforts, and hopefully score points with a lot of great fans and a great community of Taylor Swift fans. So if we can make more Taylor Swift shows in London possible by speeding up our load-in, and I pay a little bit extra to do so, but we still have event at Wembley, everybody wins, and I’m not gonna get crushed or killed in the process.

“So I’m fine with that. I think a little bit of extra money and a little bit of extra human power, getting the show put on, it’s worth it. So Wembley is gonna get more Taylor Swift shows than they would have, and there’s gonna be a great AEW All In in London. From a logistical standpoint, that will be a little bit of a different challenge because we won’t have as much time to set up as we did. But I’m also happy to accommodate that because I think that it’s gonna be good karma for us.

Tony Khan Highlights Will Ospreay’s Signing

Tony Khan then emphasized how bringing in a star like Will Ospreay ahead of the onsale date for AEW’s return to Wembley Stadium was big. He expressed his excitement about where AEW is going.

“I also think, really, to bring in a star like Will Ospreay ahead of going on-sale in London, and to be able to bring one of England’s greatest wrestlers of my lifetime and somebody that the British wrestling fans are gonna be so happy to see, and fans all over the world want to come see, I think that’s really big, and we just have so many exciting things happening in AEW.”

Khan also described how the process will be different for AEW All In next year, and he expects a great advance for AEW All In.
