Rey Mysterio is recovering from surgery, and a new report provides an update.
On November 14, Rey Mysterio announced that he had successful knee surgery, and he was on the road to recovery. The announcement came after Santos Escobar seemingly took him out on the November 10 episode of WWE SmackDown. Escobar turned on the WWE Hall of Famer and viciously attacked his knee on Friday.
Haus of Wrestling reports that Mysterio had been working through a torn meniscus for about three months. The report stated that the injury gradually worsened, so Mysterio agreed to lose the title and do the beatdown angle with Escobar ahead of the surgery. Per Haus of Wrestling, he is expected to be sidelined for around six to eight weeks.
WrestleZone wishes Mysterio well in his recovery, and we will provide more information as it becomes available.
