Bobby Lashley Wants People In His Camp To Tell Him When He Has Lost A Step

Bobby Lashley doesn’t intend to become a diminished version of himself, as he wants those close to him to let him know when he has lost a step.

Speaking on WWE After The Bell, Bobby Lashley was asked whether there a time limit on how long fans will see him competing in the ring.

“No, I tell my sparring partners, I tell my training partners, I tell anybody that works out with me, when you see that [I’m] kind of missing a step or I’m slowing down a little bit, just tell me,” Bobby Lashley said. “You see a lot of times those guys that are fighting in the UFC or boxing it something and they take that one right too many, and then it almost looks sad.

“Or you see those guys get in the ring and they just can’t move the same, and it’s sad, and you kind of lose that a little bit. I don’t want to be that guy.”

Bobby Lashley: I Do This For My Enjoyment

Bobby Lashley continued by describing how he has put himself in a financial position where he does not need to keep wrestling for the money. He made it clear that it’s for his enjoyment. The former world champion also noted that he values his relationships with some of his colleagues.

“It’s like when Superman gets that Kryptonite, and you see Superman kind of falling apart and becoming weak,” Bobby Lashley said. “I don’t need that. I put myself financially in a very, very good position that it’s not for the money. It’s for my enjoyment. I truly love going out there and being in front of the crowd and being in front of fans.

“That really gets me up, and I really like some of the guys I work with. Some of the guys here are some of my closest friends, and we only talk and hang out at TV. But it’s a friendship and a bond that I value.”
