The Undertaker Reveals Why His Initial Meeting With WWE Was Canceled

The Undertaker has been in the business for over thirty years and would certainly be part of the WWE Mount Rushmore. Last year, the wrestling icon was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

If his initial meeting with WWE was the only one he got, his career could’ve been very different.

During a podcast on his Six Feet Under Patreon channel, the Phenom revealed his first meeting with WWE was not as pleasant as people would think. He mentioned that the first time he should have met with the WWE was planned to be in the early 1990’s. But then that was canceled.

“There was a meeting scheduled for me and Vince. I just found this out recently, within the last couple of years. [It] got canceled. Originally, I was told — I think it was Bruce that told me this,” The Undertaker explained, “the meeting with Vince got canceled because of the parasailing accident that Brutus Beefcake had. He was in Clearwater Beach, someone was parasailing off the beach, and he ended up getting hit in the face by somebody. Crushed his face, he had to have his face rebuilt and all this. That’s the reason my meeting got canceled, Vince had to go.

“All these years, I always thought that meeting got canceled because of Beefcake’s accident. What it truly was is Vince watched the pay-per-view and wasn’t impressed at all. ‘He’s just a big red-headed kid. I got a million of those.’ Had no interest whatsoever,” The Undertaker said. The Undertaker also had mentioned in the past that when he first entered the wrestling business no one was impressed by him and they felt he wouldn’t sell tickets.
