Vladimir Abouzeide Thanks Fans And WWE Following Release Of ‘Superfan’ Documentary

WWE released the documentary “Superfan: The Story of Vladimir” on WWE Network and Peacock this past weekend. In a statement following the release, the real-life Vlad thanked fans.

In a message shared with PWInsider, Vlad — real name Vladimir Abouzeide — thanked fans for watching the documentary. He also thanked those who worked on it. Abouzeide also expressed his gratitude to his wrestling family, as well as his real one, and dedicated the film to his mother.

In the statement, Vlad stated that he always wanted his storu to be told, and he was grateful that everyone made it happen. Additionally, he thanked his fans, and he said wrestling is magic.

Superfan: The Story of Vladimir focuses on Vladimir Abouzeide, also known as one of the biggest superfans in professional wrestling. The documentary follows Abouzeide and tells his story of attending WWE events for more than 30 years, including being a fixture at ringside in WWE’s home arena of Madison Square Garden.

The documentary was previously set to premiere in 2021, but it was delayed. Vladimir has been presented with a WWE award in recognition of his fandom.
