The Matrix is arguably one of the most iconic films of all time. And of course, one of the most popular actors of this era is Keanu Reeves. Kenny Omega recently shared a message about the time when he met the Hollywood megastar.
A fan shared the picture the two took together. Upon seeing that Omega shared a fun story about meeting him around the time John Wick came out. The Cleaner said that he used to get told that he had a passing resemblance to Reeves.
“Back in the days of stocking Costco shelves customers/staff would sometimes say that I looked like Keanu. (I still say he looks much younger than me). A brief but fun chat over sushi and Coke Zero. Great memory,” Kenny Omega tweeted.
Man of Tai Chi
During an episode of Being The Elite, Kenny Omega shared his experience in detail.
“Next thing you know, he’s standing by the table and he goes, ‘You mind if I take this seat?’. I was like, ‘yeah by all means,’ I was… yeah… I was like…’Yeah, for sure, I wanted to say hi but I wasn’t going to because I didn’t want to bother you.’ He was like, ‘No that’s no bother.’ I was like, ‘Okay! I just want to let you know that I literally just yesterday watched Man of Tai Chi and I thought it was like one of the greatest martial arts films of all time that I’ve ever seen.’ He’s like, ‘Oh really? I don’t hear that too often. That means a lot to me. Thanks man!.’ He asks, ‘So what do you guys do? You guys athletes or something?’ I was like, ‘Yeah professional wrestlers.’ He’s like, ‘That’s really cool,’” Kenny Omega said.
Omega is currently back in the hunt for the AEW World Title.
