This Tuesday night’s episode of WWE NXT will be the first night of Halloween Havoc. The main event of the night is set to be a one-on-one match between Lyra Valkyria and Becky Lynch for the NXT Women’s Championship. Ahead of the match, the 27-year-old superstar had one last message for the champion.
Last night on Mondy Night Raw, the Man defended her NXT Women’s Championship against a former champion. The star was none other than Australian-born star Indi Hartwell. Both wrestlers put on a tough fight. In the end, The Man managed to lock in the Dis-Arm-Her, forcing Indi Hartwell to tap out. Valkyria was also sitting in the crowd as a spectator.
Following the match, Valkyria was interviewed backstage by Jackie Redmond. The Irish-born wrestler mentioned that she was happy that Lynch won. One of the main reasons was because she wanted to defeat her fellow Irish woman to win the NXT Women’s Championship.
The fight of your life
“Jackie, I had to absolutely have to be here tonight. I had to see it with my own two eyes that Becky would still be the champion cum Halloween Havoc tomorrow. And no disrespect to Indi, but I’m delighted that the match went the way it did. Because there is only one thing in this world that I want more than to be the NXT Women’s Champion. And that’s to beat Becky Lynch to become the NXT Women’s Champion. So Becky, if you see this, rest up tonight yeah? Because you got the fight of your life tomorrow,” Lyra Valkyria said.
It is to be noted that Becky Lynch is the first Irish woman to win a championship in WWE. Will Valkyria be the next? Only time will tell.
