CM Punk reportedly visited the IMPACT locker room at the television tapings following IMPACT Bound For Glory.
Since CM Punk was terminated by AEW in September, fans have buzzed about his potential next destination. IMPACT Bound For Glory was seen as a possible spot for Punk to make an appearance for IMPACT Wrestling. When IMPACT brought in Ace Steel, a close friend of Punk, as a producer for the show, the buzz ramped up. But the show came and went without Punk making his presence known.
Haus of Wrestling reports that CM Punk was backstage at the IMPACT Bound For Glory Fallout television tapings at Cicero Stadium in Chicago, Illinois. This marks the second time in 2023 that Punk has made an appearance backstage at an IMPACT taping. He visited the April tapings in Chicago as well.
Per Haus of Wrestling, CM Punk spoke with anyone who wanted to talk to him, and he spent some time with “key IMPACT talent.” The report notes that Punk’s presence didn’t faze anyone, given his prior visit. To avoid making a scene, Punk was said to have arrived shortly before the taping started.
As for Steel, the report notes that he was warmly received backstage at IMPACT. Steel also reportedly seemed happy to be back to work.
WrestleZone will provide more information about CM Punk’s status as it becomes available.
