AEW Collision Results – October 21, 2023
This week’s episode of AEW Collision kicks off with some in-ring action.
Bryan Danielson defeated Andrade El Idolo
- Bryan Danielson gets the pinfall victory on Andrade El Idolo after a variety of back-and-forth pinfall attempts.
The lights go out after the match. When they come back on, Malakai Black appears and hits Bryan Danielson with Black Mass. When Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta charge to the ring, the lights go out again, and when they come back, Black is gone.
A video package plays highlighting what went down between Darby Allin and Nick Wayne on AEW Dynamite. They tease another confrontation for this Wednesday.
Skye Blue defeated Hollyhood Haley J
- Skye Blue hits Code Blue on Hollyhood Haley J to score the pinfall victory.
The Gunns (w/ Jay White) defeated The Outrunners
- The Gunns hit 310 to Yuma to score the pinfall victory.
A video plays after the match of someone in MJF’s devil mask backstage. This spooks Bullet Club Gold in the ring.
Orange Cassidy and Kris Statlander are backstage. They hype up tonight’s AEW Battle of the Belts special while Statlander works out with Lexy Nair on her shoulders.
Jeff Jarrett (w/ Team TNA) defeated Eddie Kingston in a Memphis Street Fight
- Jeff Jarrett pins Eddie Kingston in a glorified handicap match. Jarrett’s win gives Jay Lethal a future title shot at Kingston’s Ring of Honor Championship.
The Acclaimed are backstage. The trio hypes up their title defense later tonight on Battle of the Belts VIII.
CJ Perry comes out to the ringside area and takes a seat to observe the next match.
Miro defeated Action Andretti
- Miro locks the Game Over on Action Andretti to win the match via submission.
Is the beef squashed on AEW Collision?
Daniel Garcia, Daddy Magic, Cool Hand Ang, and Anna Jay are backstage. Lexy Nair asks if the beef is still squashed before their title match tonight on Battle of the Belts. Daddy Magic started running his mouth. Anna Jay gets upset and takes them off-screen.
Cool Hand Ang shares an interesting interaction with Ruby Soho who will challenge Hikaru Shida for the AEW Women’s World Championship this Wednesday on AEW Dynamite.
Another video package plays for RUSH and his LFI stable.
Eddie Kingston is backstage. Kingston explains why he didn’t immediately grant Jay Lethal a shot at the Ring of Honor World Championship. Kingston says Lethal isn’t a pro wrestler anymore, he’s Jeff Jarrett’s little bitch. Eddie says the thing that breaks his heart the most is that he’s gonna have to beat Lethal down in front of his mother and his mother will cry but knows that he will deserve it.
FTR versus Bad Thad Brown and Darian Bengston ends in a no-contest
- A minute into the match the lights go out, it comes back on, and Malakai Black is standing in the ring. The lights go out again and come back on, and it’s all three members of the House of Black who attack and lay out Dax and Cash.
Jim Ross joins the commentary team for the main event.
Ricky Starks and Big Bill defeated Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta to retain the AEW World Tag Team Titles
- House of Black takes out Claudio Castagnoli while the referee is distracted. Ricky Starks hits a spear and Roshambo on Wheeler Yuta to score the pinfall victory for his team.
A chaotic finish
House of Black continues their attack after the match. Bryan Danielson and FTR come out but are overwhelmed by the numbers game.
This brings out the surprise return of Jon Moxley who helps Blackpool Combat Club and FTR clean house.
Ricky Starks gets back in the ring, but House of Black doesn’t follow and takes a bunch of finishers as AEW Collision goes off the air.
