Report: Sammy Guevara Recovering From A Concussion

Sammy Guevara remains sidelined, and a new report shines some light on the situation.

Former AEW TNT Champion Sammy Guevara last wrestled at AEW WrestleDream on October 1. There, he teamed up with Konosuke Takeshita and Will Ospreay to defeat Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, and Chris Jericho.

AEW then announced that Guevara was not cleared to compete on the October 4 episode of AEW Dynamite.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer commented on the situation. He stated that Sammy Guevara is recovering from a concussion he suffered at WrestleDream, and he is dealing with a setback.

However, Meltzer noted that Guevara is hoping he will be cleared for the October 18 episode of AEW Dynamite, which will be held near his hometown of Houston.  As of this writing, it is not clear whether Guevara will be able to compete at the taping.

WrestleZone will provide more information about Sammy Guevara’s status as it becomes available.

Check out the lineup for the October 18 episode of AEW Dynamite here. WrestleZone will have coverage of the show as it airs.
