Lance Archer Bumps Into Recently Released WWE Superstar

One of the top AEW stars, Lance Archer recently shared a post in which he “randomly” bumped into a released WWE Superstar. The star was none other than former United States Champion Shelton Benjamin.

A couple of weeks ago, WWE released a huge number of talent from their contracts. Stars such as Dolph Ziggler, Mustafa Ali, Matt Riddle, Emma, Aliyah, and many more were released from the company. One of the names in that list was the “Gold Standard” Shelton Benjamin.

Following his release, Benjamin did share a tweet thanking the Stamford-based promotion for giving him the opportunity to entertain the WWE Universe for all these years.

Ain’t No Stoppin’ Him

While he has parted ways from the Stamford-based promotion, the Gold Standard popped in a video featuring one of the top AEW stars, The Murderhawk Monster, Lance Archer.

Lance Archer was at the LA Fitness gym in Houston, Texas. He was recording a video in the middle of his workout to have a chat with the fans about a previous remark about Columbus Day. While doing so, he was interrupted by the former WWE Superstar Shelton Benjamin. The Gold Standard was asking if he could take his spot while Archer continued to record his video.

Funny enough, Archer also ended the video by uttering the same words from Benjamin’s WWE theme song, “ain’t no stopping you now.”

“I came to Houston for a quick little trip but the Japanese consolate was closed for the day. Some people do celebrate Columbus Day once in a while. But that does not stop me from getting a workout in. So, I’m up here in LA Fitness in Houston, Texas… (gets interrupted by Shelton Benjamin asking if he could use the machine)… I mean… I guess there ain’t no stopping you now sheesh…” Lance Archer said.

Archer was in Houston, which isn’t too far from Benjamin’s home in Spring, Texas. The run-in wasn’t as random as you’d think, but it provided for a great moment.

Will Shelton Benjamin compete in AEW?
