Damian Priest was set to cash in his Money in the Bank contract tonight, but instead, Drew McIntyre stepped up to get a match at WWE Crown Jewel.
During tonight’s episode of WWE RAW, Seth Rollins opened the show by reliving his victory over Shinsuke Nakamura at Fastlane. He said he wasn’t sure he’d be able to do it at times, but did. Now, he said, it’s time to look forward, and he’s just getting started, and ready to celebrate. Instead of a celebration, though, out came Drew McIntyre, who said he wasn’t here to celebrate, but instead wanted a title match.
As Rollins said he would get ready, though, McIntyre told him to stop. Drew said that he knows other people may try and jump him, but he wants to look him in the eye and challenge him man-to-man, for a match at Crown Jewel. Rollins was a bit shocked, and after some convincing from the crowd, said yes to McIntyre.
Unfortunately for Rollins, though, someone did end up ambushing him, and it was none other than Damian Priest. Priest was laid into Rollins just as Dominik Mysterio came running down with the Money in the Bank briefcase. Before he could do anything, though, McIntyre stopped Mysterio, snatching the briefcase and hitting Mysterio with a headbutt before tossing the briefcase away.
