Jon Moxley will not be in action on the September 27 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Ahead of the show on Wednesday, AEW CEO Tony Khan announced that doctors were unable to clear Moxley to compete. He noted that Moxley was injured during his match with Rey Fenix on the September 20 episode of AEW Dynamite. There, Moxley lost the AEW International Championship to Rey Fenix.
Khan also stated that Fenix was injured in his match against Moxley, but he has been cleared to compete. Fenix will defend his title in an open challenge on the September 27 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Jon Moxley ‘s injury led to the finish being changed on the spot. It was believed that Moxley suffered a concussion during the bout, per Mike Johnson of PWInsider.
