IMPACT is going old school for one of the matches on the September 21 episode of IMPACT Wrestling.
Thursday’s show will mark the second part of the company’s celebration of IMPACT 1000. The special event celebrated 1,000 episodes of their weekly television show. Among other matches on September 21, Jake Something will face Dirty Dango.
IMPACT announced that Something vs. Dango will have a 10-minute time-limit with an on-screen display that’s reminiscent of the first episodes of IMPACT that aired on FSN. Additionally, former TNA star Chase Stevens will serve as the judge if the match goes to a time-limit draw.
Stevens previously competed for TNA as one of The Naturals in 2003. Stevens won the NWA World Tag Team Championship three times during his time with the company. He remained with the company until 2007. He has made sporadic appearance since them. Most recently, Stevens competed in the Reverse Battle Royal at Slammiversary 2022.
WrestleZone will have coverage of IMPACT Wrestling as it airs on September 21.
