The Viking Raiders’ Erik was unable to compete tonight, forcing a pivot in a match that was planned for Monday’s episode of WWE RAW.
In a brief backstage segment tonight, Adam Pearce explained to Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods that Erik was not cleared to compete, and that the Viking Raiders’ planned 2 out of 3 falls match with New Day was off. After some back and forth and a game of rock, paper, scissors, it was determined that Kofi would face Ivar in a singles match instead.
In the singles match, Kingston was able to somehow come out on top, but not without taking some huge hits from Ivar in the process. After kicking out of a Tiger Driver and massive moonsault, Kingston was able to put the match away by hitting the Trouble in Paradise.
