Mickie James wants to see Victoria/Tara go into a Hall of Fame next.
During a recent appearance on The Battleground Podcast, Mickie James was informed that Deonna Purrazzo previously named her and Tara as two people she would like to see inducted into the IMPACT Hall of Fame. To that, James was both surprised and humbled.
“She said that? Oh, my god. I’m honored,” James said. “Deonna is a student of this game, deeper than most. More than a lot of people, and certainly more than a lot of women in the locker room. When I tell you that she studies all the intricacies of not just in the ring and that, but of her opponents. That’s why she is so good, that’s why she was the longest-reigning champion, that’s why she has all these accolades.
“Obviously, she has been my biggest foe because she has been my greatest adversary and my greatest equal. She’s given me the greatest challenges since I’ve walked back in the door. She’s challenged me the most, so I think that there’s a mutual respect, and maybe I didn’t have that with her when I first walked in the door… I think because we have now this storied history in the ring since coming back to IMPACT, we may not love each other in that sense, but we do respect one another, and that’s important. The fact that she would say that is very humbling for me because that’s not something I would expect Deonna to say.”
Regarding who she would like to see go into either IMPACT or WWE’s Hall of Fame next, James named her friend Victoria.
“If anybody asked me who should be next in the IMPACT Wrestling Hall of Fame, it’s Tara. Who should be next in the WWE Hall of Fame, i’s Victoria,” James said. “It’s long overdue, long, long overdue. That’s not just because she’s my friend, and she’s my sister, and we do GAW TV together. I mean, the woman has been through it all and has seen it all, and she’s watched a lot of her friends go into the Hall of Fame, and I think it’s due.”
