KUSHIDA is set to make his Major League Wrestling debut at MLW Fury Road, and the NJPW star is excited to mix it up with the company’s roster.
As announced on August 24, a new partnership between MLW and NJPW will kick off at MLW Fury Road. Twhere KUSHIDA will make his debut against Tony Deppen.
Speaking with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, KUSHIDA shared his thoughts on coming to MLW for the first time.
“I am excited to wrestle in MLW for the first time, I hear there are a lot of great wrestlers there. I look forward to fighting them.”
KUSHIDA also expressed his interest in potentially challenging for the world title.
“I am ready to take on anyone,” he said. “I’m ready to fight for the championship.”
KUSHIDA has had a decorated career with NJPW. There, he is former six-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion and three-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion. He is also a two-time winner of the Best of the Super Juniors Tournament.
