Don’t expect to see Ronda Rousey compete in UFC again anytime soon.
Fans have buzzed about the UFC Hall of Famer’s potential return, with UFC 300 on the horizon. Rousey has not fought in the octagon since 2016, when she lost to Amanda Nunes.
In an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, UFC President Dana White stated that there’s no chance Ronda Rousey will return to UFC.
“There’s no shot,” Dana White said. “She’s accomplished everything she set out to do.”
White went on to emphasize that Rousey has set out to do everything she aimed for in combat sports. He noted that she’s starting a family now.
“Her dream was to win a UFC championship, then win a WWE championship, and she’s done it,” White said. “Now she’s starting a family. Ronda has made so much money, and she’s still making a lot of money in sponsorships.”
Ronda Rousey’s WWE future is up in the air. Following her loss to Shayna Baszler at WWE SummerSlam, she wrote that she had no reason to stay in wrestling. She reportedly gave WWE a hard-out date, which came before WrestleMania 40.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
