AEW star Cash Wheeler had a hearing following his arrest on August 18.
Daniel Wheeler, better known as Cash Wheeler, was arrested on Friday on the charge of aggravated assault with a firearm. He then had an arraignment hearing at Orange County Jail in Orlando, Florida, and it streamed online.
The state noted that Wheeler was involved in what appeared to be a road rage-type incident, and he allegedly flashed a handgun at the alleged victim. Wheeler’s attorney, Matthew Ferry, requested that $25,000 for his bond. He stated that the incident was not domestic in nature, and Wheeler did not know the others who were involved.
The judge accepted the requested bond and ordered Wheeler to hand in any weapons. Additionally, he was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim.
Update On Cash Wheeler’s Status For AEW All In
Wheeler and Dax Harwood are scheduled for AEW All In. They are set to defend the AEW World Tag Team Championship against the Young Bucks. Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that Wheeler was not asked to surrender his passport at the hearing. The court did not impose any restrictions on him traveling internationally.
As a result, it does not seem like he will have a problem traveling to London for the pay-per-view on August 27.
In the original report, the Orlando Sentinel shared the following statement from AEW.
“AEW has been made aware of the charge, and we are closely monitoring the situation. (Wheeler) is fully cooperating with local authorities.”
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
