Jose The Assistant Comments On RUSH Re-Signing With AEW

Jose the Assistant offers some insight into RUSH‘s decision to re-sign with All Elite Wrestling.

On Jul 25, the former ROH World Champion announced that he signed a new deal with AEW. When he stared the news, he stated that he is “100% AEW.”

Jose the Assistant commented on the news in a tweet on July 25. He stated that RUSH made the move because Tony Khan showed a lot of concern for his wife and newborn. Jose noted that family is important to the AEW star, so seeing that care from Khan solidified the deal.

RUSH has not wrestled for AEW since the May 26 episode of AEW Rampage. In recent months, he has also been active for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide.

RUSH Had Other Offers

In the post, Jose acknowledged that there were other offers, but RUSH never considered going anywhere. He emphasized that the former ROH World Champion appreciated the way Khan and AEW care.

RUSH’s brother, Dragon Lee, signed with WWE in December 2022. He is currently a featured member of the NXT roster. Some rumblings suggested that “El Toro Blanco” might have been WWE-bound, but he opted to stay with AEW.

Their brother, Dralistico, often competes for AEW and ROH. He has teamed up with RUSH and Preston Vance throughout his time with both companies. Collectively, the group is known as La Faccion Ingobernable.
