Chelsea Green On Title Win: I Waited Eight Years, The Squeaky Wheel Gets The Grease

Chelsea Green says the squeaky wheel gets the grease, or in her case, the title.

On the July 17 episode of WWE RAW, Green and Sonya Deville defeated Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. In doing so, Green won her first title in WWE.

Speaking with Ringside Collectibles at San Diego Comic Con, Green was asked to comment on her title win. She noted that she has been waiting for eight years, and her hard work paid off.

“I mean, it feels exactly like it should. It fits me. It fits perfectly. I waited eight years for this moment. I was fired numerous times, I have begged for my job back numerous times, and here we are. The squeaky wheel gets the grease, or the squeaky wheel gets the championship.”

Green returned to WWE at WWE Royal Rumble 2022, and she has been featured on RAW ever since.

Chelsea Green Comments On Getting Her First WWE Elite Figure

Green was also asked to share her thoughts on getting her first WWE Elite action figure. She recalled how she got a Basic figure in 2021, but being part of the Elite lineup was special. Green went on to note that her own toy room was growing. She then predicted that it’s going to have plenty of titles soon.

“In 2021 I believe they came out with my basics,” Green said. “I got a Basic and a chase, and so I’ve never had an Elite. So this is something else. She is so beautiful, and the blue was sparkly. Then to be able to have that chase Elite in the Royal Rumble gear, I mean, my collection is growing. You need to come over and see my toy room because it’s about to be title on title on title, and a lot of action figures. We always insure our jewelry.”
