WWE is loading up the card for NXT Great American Bash.
As announced on the July 18 episode of WWE NXT, Thea Hail will challenge Tiffany Stratton for the NXT Women’s Championship at the premium live event on July 30. Hail defeated Elektra Lopez on Tuesday and challenged Stratton to a rematch for the title. Stratton previously defeated Hail to retain the gold on the June 27 episode of WWE NXT.
Stratton accepted the challenge, and Hail forced her to agree to make the bout a Submission Match by locking her in a Kimura.
Elsewhere on the show, Roxanne Perez will face Blair Davenport in a heated singles match. Davenport was previously revealed as the mystery attacker who took out several members of the women’s division, including Perez. Davenport previously defeated Perez on the June 27 episode of WWE NXT.
Tensions between Perez and Davenport continued to rise during a sit-down interview on the July 18 episode of WWE NXT, as Perez vowed to give her foe what was coming to her. Meanwhile, Davenport claimed that Perez didn’t belong in NXT anymore, and she would send her home.
WrestleZone will have coverage of NXT Great American Bash as it airs on July 30.
