Willow Nightingale had to wait a bit to get to this match, but can now celebrate as the winner of the Women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament.
During tonight’s episode of AEW Collision, Nightingale — who was forced to sit out last week following an injury — took on Ruby Soho in the finals for the tournament. In a stellar final match for the tournament, both competitors tried any and all tactics to come out with a win.
This included Ruby trying to trick the referee into thinking that Willow was attacking each her with weapons like spray paint. As the referee went to take away the props, Soho tried to rake Nightingale’s eyes, but couldn’t get the win.
Toward the end of the match, Soho once again tried to distract the ref to use spray paint, but Willow would have enough, and hit a huge powerbomb on Soho for the win.
