Konosuke Takeshita Says AEW Blood And Guts Match Will Be Unprecedented

Konosuke Takeshita explains why the Blood & Guts match on the July 19 episode of AEW Dynamite will be unprecedented.

In a tweet, Takeshita wrote that he “conjured up a vision of a wrestling world without national division.” It will be a match unprecedented in wrestling history. Pictures of Takeshita, as well as PAC, who was revealed as the final member of Team Blackpool Combat Club for the Blood & Guts match, were included in the post.

The bout will feature multiple nationalities, as Takeshita is from Japan, PAC is from the United Kingdom, Claudio Castagnoli is from Switzerland, and both Jon Moxley and Wheeler Yuta are from the United States. As for The Elite, Kenny Omega is Canadian-born, Hangman Page and the Young Bucks are American, and Kota Ibushi is Japanese.

Takeshita first joined forces with Blackpool Combat Club when he helped the group beat The Elite in the Anarchy in the Arena match at AEW Double or Nothing 2023. He teamed up with the stable in a losing effort against The Elite, Eddie Kingston, and Tomohiro Ishii at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.

WrestleZone will have coverage of the July 19 episode of AEW Dynamite as it airs.

Britt Baker recently stated that she wants a Blood & Guts match for the women in AEW. Check out her comments here.
