Drew McIntyre has returned to the ring.
The former WWE Champion had been absent since WrestleMania 39, but he returned at WWE Money in the Bank, where he confronted WWE Intercontinental Champion. McIntyre also saved Matt Riddle from Gunther and his Imperium stablemates Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser the next night on WWE RAW.
On the July 10 episode of WWE RAW, McIntyre wrestled in his first match since April when he teamed up with Riddle to face Kaiser and Vinci. The two teams clashed in a hard-fought match, and Gunther tried to get involved, but Riddle took him out. McIntyre then clinched the win with the Claymore Kick.
After the match, Gunther expressed his frustration with Vinci. He and Kaiser then walked away, leaving Vinci by himself.
