Not all heroes wear capes, but Cody Rhodes made sure that one family would have a special Father’s Day.
In a tweet, Rhodes responded to a Dustin Wood, a fan who noted that he and his son bought tickets to a WWE live event as a Father’s Day gift solely so they could see Rhodes, but the event wasn’t originally on Cody’s schedule. Wood then sold their tickets before Rhodes was announced for the event after all.
Rhodes wrote that he was able to make the show, which will be in Charleston, West Virginia, as WWE Vice President of Live Events “Road Dogg” Brian James helped him get there. Cody also said the tickets were on him, and he couldn’t wait to see Dustin and his son at the show.
James commented by stating that Rhodes was showing how a hero behaves. He stated that Cody put smiles on people’s faces all over the world.
Dominik Mysterio will face his father, Rey Mysterio, in a Father’s Day Street Fight at the Charleston live event.
Rhodes will face Dominik at WWE Money in the Bank. More information is available here.
