MJF: Does Nick Khan Want Me To Work For WWE? Sure, But I’m Kind Of Bored

AEW World Champion MJF emphasizes his belief that he has had a phenomenal career and references WWE‘s potential interest in him.

During the AEW Double or Nothing post-show media scrum, when MJF was asked about what he feels he needs to do to take the next step to greatness, he emphasized that he believes he has already had a career that’s worthy of the Hall of Fame.

“Okay, I’m already there. I’m dead serious,” MJF said. “If I literally retired today, this is not hyperbole. I’ve had one of the best professional wrestling runs in the history of the business. That’s a fact. That’s dormitory exhibitions. Best Iron Man match. Best singles dog collar match.

“I just had the best four-way. And also some of the best rivalries in the history of the sport. Cody Rhodes, Wardlow, CM Punk, Danielson, and that’s just to name a few. Um, yeah, I’m pretty sure if I called it quits, I’ve had a Hall of Fame career, which is why, quite frankly, when I say take my ball and go home.”

MJF continued by noting that when he says he could take his ball and go home, they assume he’s talking about going to WWE. While he stated that Nick Khan and Triple H might want that to happen, he’s kind of bored of wrestling, so he could literally go home.

“Everybody thinks I’m talking about WWE, right? And now, does Nick Khan want me to f*cking work in his company? Sure. Does Triple H want me to work for his company? Sure. Calm down; everything’s fine. Or maybe it’s not. But I’m kind of bored of the sport, and I’m bored of the lack of respect from professional wrestling fans.

“So when I say take my ball and go home, I mean, literally just hanging up and f*ck up the lineage of this title. Because frankly, I don’t know if anybody’s worthy of beating me for this thing. Now I’m not just gonna hand it away. Why the f*ck would I do that? I earned this thing. So please, by all means, take it off of me. Somebody put me out of my f*cking misery, but until then, we’ll see what happens.”

MJF retained the AEW World Championship in a four-way match against Darby Allin, Sammy Guevara, and “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry at AEW Double or Nothing. Catch up on our coverage here.
