Will Ospreay and Paul Robinson are returning to PROGRESS and TNT Extreme Wrestling.
Robinson was named in the #SpeakingOut Movement in 2020, and he subsequently addressed the allegations against him. PROGRESS parted ways with him in 2021. Ospreay has been accused of being part of blackballing Pollyanna from wrestling, and he responded to these claims by apologizing but not acknowledge his alleged involvement. He has not wrestled for PROGRESS since 2019, though he has been active with NJPW, RevPro, and other companies.
PROGRESS Wrestling announced the news on their official website and stated that Ospreay and Robinson will be welcomed back to both PROGRESS and TNT Extreme Wrestling as a team and as individuals. The announcement noted that their return comes after a “comprehensive investigation in which both talent complied with all requests.”
In a tweet, Ospreay expressed his excitement in response to the news.
The duo, known as the Swords of Essex, are former PROGRESS Tag Team Champions, and Ospreay has held the PROGRESS Champion.
Ospreay will face Hiroshi Tanahashi at NJPW Resurgence. More information is available here.
