At WWE Night of Champions, a SmackDown Superstar could conceivably win RAW’s World Heavyweight Championship.
Today at the WWE Backlash press conference in Puerto Rico, Triple H revealed how the company plans to crown a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion at Night of Champions later this month in Saudi Arabia.
This Monday night on RAW, there will be two triple threat matches, with the winners facing each other at the end of the night.
The same thing will take place later in the week on SmackDown.
The winners from RAW and SmackDown will face each other at Night of Champions to crown the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
Despite a brand split going into effect starting on Monday, a wrestler from SmackDown could potentially win the title that was designated as being exclusive to RAW.
