The April 10 episode of WWE RAW featured a surprising title change and a major heel turn.
On Monday night, Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus were scheduled to defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. Before the bout, Lita was attacked backstage and taken to a local medical facility, so Trish Stratus filled in for her. Morgan ultimately pinned Stratus for the upset win, bringing the reign of Lynch and Lita to an end.
After the bell, Lynch tried to console Stratus, but the WWE Hall of Famer blindsided her and left “The Man” lying with an attack, turning heel in the process.
Lynch and Lita previously won the titles on the February 27 episode of WWE RAW, where Stratus made her return and helped the dup beat Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai and IYO SKY). Stratus, Lita, and Lynch defeated the Damage CTRL trio of Bayley, Kai, and Sky at WWE WrestleMania 39.
Rodriguez is now a two-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion; she and Aliyah won the titles on the August 29 episode of WWE RAW before they lost them to Kai and SKY.
