Shinsuke Nakamura is returning to WWE SmackDown.
WWE has officially announced that Shinsuke Nakamura is set to make his return to SmackDown on April 14. The former Intercontinental Champion hasn’t appeared on WWE television since November 11 when he lost a first-round World Cup match to Santos Escobar.
Nakamura had the opportunity to return to Japan to face The Great Muta at a New Year’s Day event for Pro Wrestling NOAH as part of Muta’s retirement tour. Nakamura won that bout and went on to compete at a couple WWE house shows in January, but has not had a match in over two months.
WWE has also confirmed Xavier Woods vs. LA Knight for the April 14 episode of SmackDown. The announced card is as follows:
- Shinsuke Nakamura returns
- Xavier Woods vs. LA Knight
