Real1 (Enzo Amore) Released By Major League Wrestling

Real1, best known as his persona Enzo Amore and nZo, has reportedly been released by Major League Wrestling, according to a recent report from Dave Meltzer.

Meltzer’s report doesn’t list any particular reason for why Real1 was released, but according to a report from Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, the reason the company severed ties with him is due to Real1 reportedly not wanting to work with top talent in the company and declining some of the creative decisions the company had. Sean’s report also mentions issues that arose with Real1 not wanting to put over other talent at shows.

Despite the report, no official word from either MLW or Real1 about the release has come out. However, the MLW roster page no longer features him, seemingly confirming the move. The shakeup comes as a bit of a surprise, as just last week it was announced that he would be challenging reigning MLW Champion Alex Hammerstone for his title at next week’s Battle Riot V in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

He was also scheduled to appear at the War Chamber TV taping in a match against Willie Mack, but it seems like that is unlikely to happen now as well. The superstar most recently performed on last week’s MLW Underground, where he defeated Microman in a quick victory.
