Tony Khan likes what he sees from STARDOM.
AEW and Ring of Honor both have a history of featuring Joshi wrestlers, and it’s something Tony Khan is still interested in when it comes to potentially working with STARDOM. During a recent interview with the Battleground Podcast, Khan touched on the “interesting” things the Joshi company has going on.
“I am interested in working with STARDOM,” Tony Khan said. “It’s something that I’ve talked to New Japan about, and obviously they have that business relationship there. It’s definitely something I’d be open to, so we’ll have to keep an eye on that.
“But definitely some interesting things happening in the world of Joshi. We’ve brought some great Joshi wrestlers over. They have a great women’s division and have some exciting things happening there. So I would be interested to work with STARDOM in the future,” Khan added.
With Mercedes Moné currently reigning as the IWGP Women’s Champion, Khan previously noted that he has “so much respect” for her and thinks it will be an “interesting situation” with her being a champion ahead of AEW and NJPW’s co-promoted Forbidden Door event coming up in June.
