Charlotte Flair wants to do things outside of WWE, but she’s being patient.
Over the years, a number of WWE stars, including The Rock, John Cena, and Batista, have successfully transitioned into careers in Hollywood. Many others have received opportunities while they were still with WWE; Sasha Banks previously appeared in The Mandalorian while she was under contract.
Speaking with Jim Varsallone of the Miami Herald, Flair was asked whether she wants to explore opportunities outside of WWE. She made it clear that she would “love” to get a bigger role in a movie, and it’s a matter of when it will happen. Flair stated that her transition into the entertainment world will be unique and special to her.
“I definitely want to do things outside of the WWE,” Flair said. “But it’s a matter of when that will happen for me. Very early on in my career, I did do the ‘Psych’ role for the movie. I also did ‘Punky Brewster.’ So I’ve had these opportunities. I would really love a bigger role in a bigger movie, but when that happens, it will happen. So I’m trying not to put so much pressure on, ‘I’ve gotta do this, I’ve gotta do that’ because at the same time, I’m like, I want to be the very best superstar in WWE. I know I want to be the best in whatever I do, so it’s just when all these things come to me at the right time. I know this sounds cliche, but it’s just patience. I think what my transition looks like will be unique and special to Charlotte Flair.”
Flair will defend the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 39.
