John Cena has landed another buzzworthy role as he continues to build his impressive acting career.
Seth Rogen (via Deadline) announced that Cena will be part of the voice cast for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem animated feature, which is being produced by Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon Movies, and Point Grey Productions.
The cast will be led by Micah Abbey, Shamon Brown Jr., Nicolas Cantu and Brady Noon. Cena will lend his voice as Rocksteady. The lineup also includes Rogan (Bebop), Jackie Chan (Splinter), Ice Cube (Superfly), Post Malone (Ray Fillet), and Paul Rudd, (Mondo Gecko), among others.
John Cena is the second WWE Superstar to portray Rocksteady, as Sheamus played the live-action role in 2016’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows. This is also Cena’s second time working on a TMNT project, as he played Baron Draxum in the first season of the Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon.
A teaser for the feature will be released on March 6.
Cena will return to WWE on the March 6 episode of WWE RAW. WrestleZone will have coverage of the show as it airs.
