On January 21, New Japan Pro-Wrestling held its NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 in Yokohoma Arena event along with Pro Wrestling NOAH at Yokohoma Arena in Kanagawa, Japan.
The event featured many crossover matches; in the main event, Tetsuya Naito battled Kenoh. The show aired on NJPW World.

- NJPW’s Kosei Fujita & Ryohei Oiwa defeated NOAH’s Yasutaka Yano & Taishi Ozawa
- NOAH’s Masa Kitamiya & Daiki Inaba defeated NJPW’s Tomohiro Ishii & Oskar Leube
- Both companies held a tribute for Jay Briscoe, as Naomichi Marufuji and Hiroshi Tanahashi had portraits of Jay in the ring, and The Briscoes’ “Reach For The Sky” song played.

- NJPW’s El Desperado def. NOAH’s YO-HEY

- NOAH’s Kaito Kiyomiya & Yoshiki Inamura battled NJPW’s Kazuchika Okada & Togi Makabe to a no contest; Kaito challenged Okada to a singles match after the bell.
- NOAH/KONGO’s Tadasuke def. NJPW/LIJ’s BUSHI
- NJPW/LIJ’s Hiromu Takahashi def. NOAH/KONGO’s Hajime Ohara
- NOAH/KONGO’s Manabu Soya def. NJPW/LIJ’s SANADA
- NJPW/LIJ’s Shingo Takagi def. NOAH/KONGO’s Katsuhiko Nakajima
- NJPW/LIJ’s Tetsuya Naito def. NOAH/KONGO’s Kenoh
- After the main event, Keiji Mutoh announced Naito as his opponent in his last match.
In the competition, NJPW win the series against NOAH by a score of 5-4-1. Los Ingobernables de Japon defeated over Kongo by a score of 3-2.
LIJ came up 3-2 over Kongo in Yokohama Arena, but Naito's post match celebration wasn't the end of the night!
