A triple threat is set for NXT Vengeance Day.
The New Year’s Evil edition of NXT on January 10 was headlined by a 20-woman battle to determine who will challenge NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez at NXT Vengeance Day. Right out the gate, Lyra Valkyria tossed Cora Jade out of the ring for the first elimination. Jade attempted to re-enter the match later on, only for Valkyria to send her over the top rope again. Sol Ruca eliminated Zoey Stark before it came down to the final four: Valkyria, Jacy Jayne, Gigi Dolin, and Alba Fyre.
Valkyria eliminated Fyre, which set up Jade running out to pull Valkyria off the apron to take her out of the bout. When it came down to the two Toxic Attraction members, they initially celebrated together. Jayne offered to eliminate herself until she delivered a super kick to Dolin. The two found themselves on the turnbuckle where they traded blows until they fell and landed on the floor at the same time.
After the referees consulted over who the true winner was, both Jayne and Dolin were declared the winners. As a result, Perez will defend against both women in a triple threat match at NXT Vengeance Day in Charlotte on February 4.
After a controversial ending, @jacyjaynewwe AND @gigidolin_wwe are your Battle Royal winners…
