Tasha Steelz recently announced that she signed a contract extension with IMPACT Wrestling, and more information has reportedly come to light.
Steelz, a former IMPACT Knockouts World Champion and a two-time Knockouts Tag Team Champions, remains a featured member of the roster. Following her extension, she is set to stay with the company for the foreseeable future.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reports that Steelz’s deal is a multi-year contract. He wrote that IMPACT signed her well in advance of the expiration of her previous contract, which was set to expire in April 2023, as the company didn’t want her to reach free agency.
Per Sapp, IMPACT wanted to re-sign several wrestlers who got their first national TV exposure with the company, and the departures of stars like the Good Brothers, Eric Young, W. Morrissey and others freed up some room in the budget. Additionally, IMPACT has reportedly been more open to having talent work on pay-per-appearance deals in recent years.
