John Skyler is excited for his future in IMPACT Wrestling.
IMPACT Wrestling signed John Skyler to a multi-year contract. Skyler broke the news on The Angle Podcast and shared his feelings about being back with the company, noting that there’s a whole new roster he wants to work with.
“I’m excited to be back with IMPACT Wrestling. Right off the top of my head the IMPACT talent roster. There’s so many people up and down the show and roster that I haven’t had the chance to wrestle yet. That’s the thing that’s really appealing to me. I signed with IMPACT to break the perception of who John Skyler is. I’ve been this 15-year journeyman and I wanted to be taken more seriously as a threat, as a viable superstar, as someone people can see money in,” Skyler said.
“What I love about IMPACT is that wrestling is still very much the background for all these other stories. Somewhere along the lines, some places kind of lost sight of that this is a wrestling program,” Skyler added. “I think that IMPACT, and you can credit the strong talent roster that is so wrestling driven.”
“The Southern Savior” has made sporadic appearances in IMPACT Wrestling over the past year, with his last TV appearance coming in March. Skyler also competed at the IMPACT-sanctioned IPWF event on WrestleCade weekend in Winston-Salem on November 26. In addition to his work in IMPACT, Skyler has also made in-ring appearances for All Elite Wrestling and WWE’s NXT brand.
