Big Time Wrestling: Return Of The Dragon Results (11/27): Ricky Steamboat Returns To The Ring

On November 27, Big Time Wrestling held the “Return of the Dragon” event from the Dorton Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The results are as follows:

• Pre-Show: Scott Steiner won a battle royal by last eliminating Bryan Idol; Tommy Dreamer was also one of the finalists
  • After the match ended, Steiner kept attacking Idol, and he also hit a referee. He raised Dreamer’s hand. Dreamer puts over Scott and Rick Steiner for revolutionizing wrestling. Steiner thanked the fans.
• A video message from Bret Hart kicks off the show; he praises Ricky Steamboat and wishes him well ahead of his match.
• Matt Hardy defeated Crowbar (with Percival)
• NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship: Kerry Morton (c) defeated Brian Pillman Jr.
  • Morton went for a handshake, but Pillman kicked him below the belt and dropped him with a neckbreaker.
• In a taped promo, The Briscoes discuss their match with The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express
• BTW Heavyweight Championship: Danny Miles defeated Facade
  • Before the match, guest commissioner Teddy Long came to the ring and noted that Miles has an open challenge. He revealed Facade as Miles’ opponent
  • Mr. TA comes to the stage and cuts a promo, where he talks about being the master of the Cobra Clutch. Sgt. Slaughter cones up behind him and confronts him. Mr. TA shoves him, but Slaughter ducks a punch and locks in the Cobra Clutch until TA passes out.
• In a promo, The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express discuss their history in the Dorton Arena and preview their match with The Briscoes.
• The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express defeated The Briscoes
• Savannah Evans defeated Amber Nova
• In video messages, Nikita Koloff, Earl Hebner, Tatanka, Eric Bischoff , Sean Waltman, Tully Blanchard, Johnny B. Badd, and Jake Roberts wish Steamboat well in his return to the ring.
• Ricky Steamboat and FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) defeated Brock Anderson, “Black Machismo” Jay Lethal and Nick Aldis
  • Before the match, Arn Anderson revealed Nick Aldis as the third member of his team.
  • After the match, Cash Wheeler discussed how they idolized legends like Ricky Steamboat and Arn Anderson when they were growing up. Dax Harwood also praised Ricky Steamboat and says men like Steamboat have allowed him to make a living by wrestling. He expressed his gratitude for being part of this match. Steamboat looked back on his history with Raleigh.
