Former friends and tag team partners battled it out at AEW Full Gear.
In the show-opening match, “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry faced Luchasaurus in a Steel Cage Match. The former AEW World Tag Team Champions have been feuding for months, dating back to Christian Cage’s betrayal of Jungle Boy in June. Luchasaurus subsequently aligned with Cage, and the bitterly personal rivalry has escalated ever since.
Jungle Boy faced Cage at AEW All Out, but a brutal pre-match attack cost Perry the bout. Jungle Boy later interfered and stopped Luchasarus from winning the match when he challenged for the AEW All-Atlantic Championship on the November 2 episode of AEW Dynamite. Finally, they clashed in a Steel Cage Match at AEW Full Gear. In the end, Jungle Boy delivered a valiant performance and made his former partner tap out.

Here’s how the match broke down, courtesy of our play-by-play coverage:
Perry rallies with two dropkicks. He kicks Luchasaurus into the cage wall. Luchasaurus sends him skyward with a back bodydrop on the apron. Jungle Boy hits a destroyer for a two count. He nails Luchasaurus with a chair and gets a two count with a Killswitch. Luchasaurus slams him onto a steel chair. Perry hits an avalanche sliced bread. Luchasaurus sits up, and Jungle Boy does, too. The big man drops his foe with a headbutt. He yells at Jungle Boy to stay down. Jungle Boy keeps fighting and hits a piledriver for a two count. Luchasaurus hits a piledriver of his own and slams Perry to the mat. Perry locks in a sleeper hold and places Luchasaurus on a table. He hits his opponent with a chair and climbs to the top of the cage, where he leaps off and hits a diving elbow drop through a table. He then makes Luchasaurus tap to the Snare Trap.
