CM Punk‘s dog, Larry, was reportedly injured during the backstage brawl following AEW All Out.
According to a new report from Nick Hausman of Wrestling Inc, CM Punk’s camp states that the former AEW World Champion has not been in contact with AEW since the brawl that saw Ace Steel get physical with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks. Punk was said to been told to stay quiet and has laid low ever since.
After Punk made comments about Colt Cabana, Omega, and the Bucks during the All Out post-show media scrum, someone “kicked in” Punk’s locker room door and hit Larry in the process. The report states that Punk’s dog had two teeth knocked loose and had to be removed during a pre-scheduled vet appointment in the days following.
Wrestling Inc. was told that Punk’s camp felt threatened by the bombardment and that he acted in a “legal way” under Illinois’ Castle Doctrine laws, which “allow for the use of force in defense of a person in their dwelling.” Ace Steel’s wife was present for the altercation, but she was not involved in the internal investigation. It’s been reported that Steel was officially let go from AEW.
After there were questions of legal ramifications, Hausman reports that there is currently no litigation against Punk on behalf of anyone else that was involved.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
