Mandy Rose will defend the title at WWE NXT Halloween Havoc.
On the October 4 episode of WWE NXT, Alba Fyre seemingly abducted the champion by driving away in a minivan while she was still inside. The following week, during a promo on NXT, Fyre stated that by the end of her “joyride” with Rose, she had gained a championship match at NXT Halloween Havoc on October 22.
Fyre, formerly known as Kay Lee Ray, previously had a remarkable run as the NXT UK Women’s Champion. Rose has been the reigning NXT Women’s Champion since NXT Halloween Havoc 2021, where she defeated Raquel Gonzalez. She unified the NXT Women’s Championships by defeating Meiko Satomura and Blair Davenport at NXT Worlds Collide on September 4, 2022.
