WWE SmackDown viewership increased on September 23.
According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, 2.535 million viewers watched the show on Friday. This is up from last week, when 2.212 million viewers tuned in. The viewership number for the September 23 episode is SmackDown’s highest since the Christmas 2020 episode, which had an NFL lead-in. Otherwise, Friday’s number was SmackDown’s highest since the first empty arena episode on March 20, 2020.
In the 18 to 49 demographic, SmackDown scored a 0.63 rating, which is also up from last week (0.50). SmackDown ranked #1 in the demographic on Friday.
