An unexpected legend showed up at the AEW Rampage: Grand Slam taping.

AEW taped AEW Rampage: Grand Slam on September 21, following the “Grand Slam” edition of Dynamite. In the show-opening match, Sting and Darby Allin faced Brody King and Buddy Matthews of the House of Black in a No Disqualification match. According to fans in attendance, The Great Muta came to the ring and helped Sting. The two legends then posed together.

Muta, also known as Keiji Mutoh, is currently on his retirement tour, and he is down to his last few matches. He will bid farewell as The Great Muta on January 22, 2023. The legend has held titles in every major Japanese promotion, and he has also been a champion in Jim Crockett Promotions and WCW.
