MJF Was Hounded By Mouth-Breathers At Hersheypark, But The Rides Were Fun

MJF says his trip to Hersheypark was a mixed bag of sorts.

“The Salt of the Earth” spent a number of weeks away from All Elite Wrestling after the June 1 episode of AEW Dynamite, where he cut a fiery promo on company president Tony Khan. During his time away, he was spotted at Hersheypark. One fan briefly shared a photo of their meeting, noting that she agreed not to share it until MJF had returned to television.

This trip was alluded to during an appearance on Rasslin’ with Brandon F. Walker, and MJF noted that he was recognized by some fans but he had an enjoyable day overall.

“I have been to Hersheypark. So here’s what happened, I was brought there,” MJF explained. “I was very nervous that I would be kind of hounded by a bunch of disgusting mouth-breathers. I was, but the rides were fun.”

Walker then asked MJF to describe what constitutes a mouth-breather, and the AEW star used the host as an example.

“So a mouth-breather to me is, I think you’re a prime example,” MJF said. “Can you just look at the camera? While his mouth isn’t even slightly closed, he’s still slack-jawed, right. He’s constantly just, he can tell he’s grasping for sir. He is constantly out of breath, an idiot, someone who is empty-headed, someone who clearly, clearly, clearly has no understanding of anything that’s going on around him at any given time. That is what a mouth-breather is. As you are breathing heavily into the microphone.”

Later in the interview, MJF was asked what he would do differently if he had Tony Khan’s job. Surprisingly, he stated that he doesn’t think he’d do anything differently.

“So if I had Tony Khan’s job, what would I do differently? You might not like this answer. I don’t think I would do a thing differently,” he said. “Because he’s utilizing the top talents, in my mind, to perfection. He is broadcasting and spotlighting his top talents, and you’ve seen that since I’ve come back. That’s a fact.

“Have these last two Dynamites been exponentially better since I’ve come back? — yes, of course, and now you get to sprinkle that in amongst a lot of other great performers. We also have a lot of great up-and-coming guys, your Will Hobbs, your Ricky Starks. Ethan Page now, I feel like he’s about getting to go on a tear,” he added. “There’s a lot of interesting characters right now on the show.”
