Roman Reigns: I Didn’t Know Who Logan Paul Was Before He Came To WWE, I’m Not A 15-Year-Old Girl

WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns says he didn’t know who Logan Paul was before he arrived in WWE.

Paul was featured on the road to WrestleMania 38, and he made his in-ring debut at “The Showcase of the Immortals.” He later signed with WWE and competed at SummerSlam, where he defeated The Miz. After “The Tribal Chief” appeared on his Impaulsive podcast, the social media star started teasing a match with the champion. Reigns and Paul then faced off at a press conference on September 17, where it was announced that they will clash in a match at WWE Crown Jewel.

In an interview with Speaking with Radio Rahim of SecondsOut after the press conference, Reigns was asked about the way Paul has been talking trash. He responded by making it clear that, before Paul came to WWE, he didn’t know who he was.

“When I’m on the same stage and I hear some of that dumb sh— spewed out, of course it’s gonna anger me, and things are gonna pop off,” Reigns said. “But at the same time, before he came here, no disrespect, didn’t know who he was. I’m not a 15-year-old little girl. I don’t watch Logan Paul or any of the Paul YouTube vlog people. That’s not what I do. So I don’t have any problems with him not watching me because he was busy doing what he does, and that’s video-taping himself doing god knows what.

“So go video-tape yourself doing god knows what, and leave the true professionalism, the sports entertainment, the professional wrestling, to people like me. There’s nobody like me.

When asked about some members of the roster who might be concerned about these external stars taking their spot, Reigns encouraged them to be so good that this outcome won’t be a possibility.

“Be so good nobody can take your spot. I don’t care who they bring in. You can bring in anyone, and they ain’t gonna take The Tribal Chief’s spot.’”

“The Head of the Table” also offered a look into his mindset ahead of the match, noting that he intends to deliver a great performance that reminds everyone who he is, in case anyone has forgotten.

“I’m gonna go out there and do what I do, man,” Reigns said. “It’s about consistency. That creates the longevity. Nowadays you have to continue to do it. There ain’t no 15 minutes of fame. There’s not a ‘Look at me, this one night I did great.’ They’ll forget about you.

“So we continue to put in the work, showcase the skills that dictate that we’re on top for that reason, and I take every opportunity as The Wiseman always says, as an audition to come back the next week. So after we’re done and the world remembers, ‘Yeah, he’s the baddest dude alive, the GOAT, he smashed Logan Paul,’ they’re gonna love it when we come back the next week.”
