After trading shots online and feuding across social media for some time, Bully Ray and Matt Cardona are finally stepping into the ring.
Cardona announced on his official Twitter on that he and Bully Ray would face off at Battlground Championship Wrestling’s A Tribute to the Extreme. Bully Ray will be joined by his longtime partner D-Von. The event is set to take place on December 17, 2022, and will be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylania, at the 2300 Arena.
The pair have been feuding for some time, with the latest moment taking place at NWA 74, when before his match against a hand-picked promo, the former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion targeted Ray in a promo, stating that the veteran was “extreme shaming” him. The promo came after Ray previously stated that Cardona had never been in the ring with an “extreme” wrestler, and that he wouldn’t last a day in the original ECW. As part of Cardona’s promo, he refused to wrestle Ray because he was bullying him.
